Continued Growth of QDRO Practice

August 21, 2015 by Brian Hemphill

As I announced a few months ago, I am now helping people with preparation and implementation of Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (also called, “QDROs”), which are court orders that divide retirement and pension accounts as part of divorce or separation proceedings. Since that time, I have assisted my clients with division of a wide variety of retirement assets. Here is a list of some of the types of accounts I have worked on:

  • Union Pensions:
    • International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Pension Benefit Fund (IBEW-PBF)
    • National Electrical Benefit Fund (NEBF)
    • National Electricians Annuity Program (NEAP)
    • Oregon Retail Employees Pension Plan
    • Western Conference of Teamsters
  • Company Retirement Accounts:
    • Coca-Cola
    • Les Schwab
    • PacifiCorp
    • Pepsi-Cola Bottling of Bend
    • Precision Castparts
    • Safeway
    • Union Pacific Railroad
  • Government & Military:
    • Oregon PERS
      • Tier One / Tier Two
      • Oregon Public Service Retirement Plan (OPSRP)
      • Oregon Savings Growth Plan (OSGP)
      • Individual Account Program (IAP)
    • California PERS
    • Federal Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)
    • Federal Civilian Service Retirement System (CSRS)
    • Military Retirement Pay Division Order
